Mark Dannhoff spent the 2010 grassroots basketball season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors boy's basketball program working with the 15U/9th Grade (Class of 2013) team. He also spent significant time working with the 16U/10th Grade (Class of 2012) team.

Coach Dannhoff has been actively coaching for over 20 years. He was hired on September 1, 2010 by head coach, Perry Clark, to be an assistant coach at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Prior to working for Coach Davis and the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, Dannhoff spent 19 years as an assistant coach under nine collegiate staff's: The University of Texas-Pan American, Mercer University, Georgia State University, Tulane University, University of New Orleans, Centenary College, University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas Tech University, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Dannhoff also served as head coach at Northland (Minn.) Community College.

Dannhoff came to the Playground Warriors after spending a season at the University of Texas-Pan American. He helped re-energize the Broncos program in an attempt to garner more wins and increase attendance. Dannhoff was credited for much of the program’s turnaround in his only season with the school.
Prior to his stint in Texas, Dannhoff spent a season at Mercer University. While at Mercer, he served as the defensive coordinator, while overseeing all aspects of the men's basketball program. As a recruiting coordinator, Dannhoff signed two of the top 15 players out of Wisconsin (Jake Gollon-Wisconsin Blaze and Andy Smith-Milwaukee Spartans). In the year that Dannhoff was at Mercer, he helped guide his squad to a victory over No. 18 Southern California University.
Before joining the Mercer athletic staff, Dannhoff spent two seasons at Georgia State. The Mississippi Valley native oversaw all aspects of the program, as well, and helped the team's RPI ranking in the Colonial Athletic Association to stand at eighth in the country.

Prior to his two seasons at GSU, Dannhoff spent four seasons at Tulane University under head coach Shawn Finney. Dannhoff served as the camp coordinator for the Green Wave and while there, the program was considered one of the nations most improved programs. Major wins under Dannhoff's direction came when the Green Wave defeated Georgia Tech twice and defeated Vanderbilt.

In 2000-01, Dannhoff was part of the University of New Orleans coaching staff. That season, the Privateers finished with a 17-12overall record, second in the Western Division of the Sun Belt Conference. Dannhoff was led by the 2001 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year Joey Steibing.

Dannhoff spent a season at Centenary College before taking the assistant coaching job at New Orleans. Dannhoff recruited Will Bryant who was later named a McDonald All-American. While at Centenary, Dannhoff's key moment was an upset over Texas A&M.

In 1998-99, Dannhoff took the assistant coaching job at The University of Arkansas-Little Rock where he oversaw all aspects of the men's basketball program and served as the assistant camp director. Coach Dannhoff is extremely excited about the opportunity to return to Little Rock this spring for the annual Real Deal in the Rock.

Prior to coaching at UALR, Dannhoff served as the assistant coach for Arkansas Tech University where he served as the recruiting coordinator, defensive coordinator and camp director and signed three All-State players in his tenure at Arkansas Tech.

Dannhoff gained head coaching experience as he served four seasons as head coach for Northland Community College. In his final season at Northland, Dannhoff's squad was named the 1996 Northern Division Champions and was ranked No. 2 in the state and Region XIII. In 1993, Dannhoff signed the 1993 Northwest Minnesota Player of the Year.

Dannhoff got his start in the coaching field as he took an assistant coaching job at his alma mater, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He held close ties to the men's basketball program as he was a player for Wisconsin-La Crosse and lettered as a freshman but sustained a career-ending ankle injury.

Dannhoff received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and also earned his master's degree from Wisconsin-La Crosse in education with an emphasis on physical education and athletic administration.

The son of Richard and Mary Dannhoff, the 44-year old Dannhoff is single and resides in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The PGC basketball family would like to wish Coach Dannhoff the very best in all of his future endeavors. He will be forever remembered for his many contributions during his twelve months with the program.
